SENSORY INDUCTION LAUNCHED TO WELCOME NEW STAFF
It’s a case of New Year, new team, at Ear to the Ground as we head into 2012 with an additional six new team members. We’ve bolstered our ranks with six great appointments, as we look forward to our busiest year to date.
To celebrate the new arrivals coming on board, we tasked our creative team with designing a staff induction that would be a unique welcome and communicate the values of the agency. They’ve done us proud and developed ‘From the Ground Up’, an immersive sensory experience that allows new staff to relax and soak up the story of how the agency developed.
Inductees are now able to learn about the agency while listening to a specially created piece of ambient music with voiceover. The experience is then intensified as they listen to via headphones and get a relaxing massage.
Steve Smith, MD at Ear to the Ground comments: “Let’s face it, staff inductions are essential but generally boring. We wanted to make people remember their first day at Ear to the Ground. We put authentic live experience at the heart of everything we do and from now on every new member of staff will get sensory induction on their first day at the agency.”
He adds: “To create the experience, we worked with our sound artist Danny Russell to create a backdrop of soothing sounds. Two voice-over artists recorded the script, playfully copying the style of a meditation tape. Now all of the latest additions to the Ear to the Ground family are able to learn about the agency?s work in sport and music and the power of life experiences in a light hearted way that is intended to put a smile on their faces.”
All join to fill newly created positions in the agency, with Clare Goodchild, Tamer Rustum, Ben Johnstone and Claire Roberts appointed to service a raft of new accounts from brands looking to activate around music, sport and retails, while Henrietta Rolla-Smith joins as the Office Lynchpin and Administrator and Pamela Tierney Wigg as Finance Manager.
