As 2013 sees Ear to the Ground completely focuses on connecting brands with sport and music fans, founding Director Jon Drape is leading the formation of a new sister agency that will focus exclusively on live music production. Over the last ten years Jon and his team have masterminded some of the UKs most spectacular live music shows as well as delivering legendary festivals like Snowbombing and the Warehouse Projects series.
The team has just been recognized with a raft of awards at the UK Event Awards and UK Festival Awards that included Best New Festival (Festival Number Six), Best Outdoor Event (Live from Jodrell Bank) Best Additional Activity at a Festival (Live From Jodrell bank) and Best Headline Performance New Order at Festival Number 6).
This builds on the success of ten years of solid, efficient, large scale, event delivery that has seen some huge landmark shows for the team. Highlights have included the launch of Liverpool Capital of Culture in 2008 featured Ringo Starr being lifted onto the roof of the town hall in a shipping container in front of a live audience of 50,000.
It seemed like a good time to split the business with both sides providing very different services to very different clients. The two agencies will share offices and Jon will continue to be Live Director at Ear to the Ground bringing his incredible expertise and knowledge to our more ambitious live projects.
