Manchester City - We build Fan-ticipation with the first ever Premiership pre-season event


Last night we worked with Manchester City to create City Live; a new model for engaging fans in advance of the upcoming football season.We developed a football focused night of entertainment full of passion at the Huge Manchester Central venue. The event sold out to capacity in advance with an audience of 4000 and was packed with football and entertainment. It showcased the long awaited new player reveals, a Q&A session from new City Manager, Manuel Pellegrini and was all wrapped up with a rock and roll audio visual production intended to hype fans.

The energy was consolidated with live performances from lifelong Blue and renowned comedian Jason Manford, with a finale from NME nominated musician Miles Kane. BT Sport’s new TV Sport personality and presenter, Jake Humphrey hosted the whole two hour show.

Once again Ear to the Ground helped Manchester City define the cutting edge of fan engagement and reshape how clubs connect with their fan bases. Together we have produced a Premiership first and a new pre-season ritual to drive devotion.
